Server uninstallation guide

Uninstall Portus Server - Linux, z/Linux, AIX and Solaris

  1. Ensure the Portus server is not running, if it is running change to the <SERVER_install_dir>/apache2/bin directory, replacing <SERVER_install_dir> with the location where you installed the Portus server.

    Run the command ./apachectl stop

  2. The <SERVER_install_dir> can now be removed. Use the command rm -rf <SERVER_install_dir>.

    Important: Once you run this rm command, all files and directories in "<SERVER_install_dir>" will be permanently deleted.
  3. This completes the uninstall process.

Example:

# cd /usr/local/server/apache2/bin
# ./apachectl stop
# cd /usr/local
# rm -rf server
# 

Uninstall Portus Server - Windows

  1. Start the Windows Control Center by clicking Start -> Control Panel
  2. Select the Add or Remove Programs or Programs and Features (depending on your version of Windows)
  3. Select the Portus version you want to uninstall and click Change/Remove
  4. Select Remove radio button and click Next
  5. Click OK to uninstall Portus
